1. Convenience limits your experience. Your life becomes strictly the essential or productive and you miss out on basic life. The best experiences are often unexpected and unique.
2. Fear of failure and perception of effort prevent you from trying. Only good can come from trying. At the very least you gain experience and knowledge. Effort is merely sensations which you have control over. Your perception of effort determines whether it is unpleasant.
3. Preconceptions and labels. You are capable of enjoying anything, unless you are focusing on the negative. You will find what you search for. Labels stop you from seeing things as they really are.
4. Criticism. It is impossible to experience and criticise simultaneously. Focus on your senses in the present moment. Review the experience when it is over.
5. Social stigma and convention. You have unique values. Don't let others dictate the source of your joy and fulfilment. You decide what your meaning of life is.
